Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines


  1. Articles submitted have not been previously published in a journal or other place.
  2. Articles must be the original work of the author, and must be accompanied by astatement that is not the result of plagiarism or contains plagiarism elements.
  3. The manuscript / article must be in accordance with the scope and theme of the Harmoni journal;

     (1) Religious Streams and Religious Movement; (2) Religious services such as KUA, Hajj, Umrah, and Halal Products; (3) Interfaith Religious Relations.

  4. Manuscripts / articles must be based on the results of field research.
  5. Articles must be written in Indonesian or English (United States English) with a formal style and structure. Because this journal is a scientific study that is fully reviewed by Mitra Bebestari (peer-reviewer), so informal manuscripts will not be accepted.
  6. Articles must be written in word document (MS word), 1.5 spaces, Palatino Linotype 12pt font.
  7. Articles must be written between about 7,000 - 10,000 words including the body text, all tables, figures, notes, and reference lists.
  8. Authors have the responsibility to carefully check the accuracy of quotations, grammar, tables and figures before submitting them.
  9. Authors have the responsibility to revise their articles after receiving reviews from the editorial board.
  10. Authors must register with the HARMONI electronic scientific journal before submitting their paper and filling out the form completely.
  11. Articles must be submitted via online submission in the HARMONI e-journal.
  12. The submitted article will be reviewed or checked by the editorial board first before being sent to the partner reviewer.
  13. Authors must adjust the writing of the manuscript / article with the "Selingkung Template" provided by HARMONI Journal.


  1. TITLE
  2. Author name, affiliation and author address, email address.
  3. Abstract (250-300 words), consisting of; research problems, research methods used, research findings, analysis and research conclusions (discussion).
  4. Keywords (3-5 words / phrases).
  5. INTRODUCTION (Consists of a background statement, research questions, literature review)
  6. METHOD (Includes an explanation of the location and time of research, type / nature of research, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods).
  7. DISCUSSION (exploring the significance of the research results, not repetition, and using the theoretical framework in analyzing research findings).
  11. REFERENCES (Contains all citations and references used in the article. At least 10 references are used, at least 60% of the last 5 years and at least 70% are from primary sources).


A. Title must be clear, concise and concise describing; Research Objectives, Models and Objects.
B. The title must contain the main research variables.
C. The title must be typed in bold and capital letters.
D. Using MS TREBUCHET font, size 16pt, max. 20 words.

A. The author's name must be typed under the article title without an academic degree.
B. Author address (affiliate address) must be typed under the author's name.
C. Author email address must be typed under the author's address.
D. If the author is more than one author, it should be used conjunctions "and" not the symbol "&".

A. Abstract is a summary of the article which consists of research issues, research methods used, research findings, analysis and research conclusions (discussion).
B. Abstract must be written in one paragraph, single spaced and italicized using PALATINO LINOTYPE font, size 10pt.
C. Abstract cannot be more than 300 words.
D. The word "abstract" must be typed in bold, capital and italic type
E. Key words should be 3-5 words or phrases.
F. Key words should be typed in italics.

A. The title of the table is placed directly above the table, aligned to the left, using 10pt PALATINO LINOTYPE font.
B. The words 'Table' and 'Numbers' are written in bold, while the table titles are written in normal (Sentence case).
C. Numbering of table titles using Arabic numbering (1, 2, 3, etc.).
D. The table is placed on the left side of the page.
E. Fill in the table using the PALATINO LINOTYPE 10pt font with 1 space.
F. Inclusion of sources or information is placed at the bottom of the table, left aligned, italics, written using the PALATINO LINOTYPE 10pt font.

A. Images can be in the form of graphs, matrices, photographs, diagrams, and the like, placed in the center of the page (centered).
B. The title of the image is written below the image, using PALATINO LINOTYPE 10pt font, placed on the left side of the image.
C. The words 'Image' and 'Numbers' are written in bold, using Arabic numbering (1, 2, 3, etc.), while the contents are written in Sentence case.
D. Inclusion of sources or information is placed under the title of the image, left aligned, italics, using the PALATINO LINOTYPE 10pt font.
E. Images are loaded in .jpg, .jpeg, or .tif file format in black / white, unless the color implies a certain meaning with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

A. Equations must be done sequentially in the text.
B. Equation figures must be placed between parentheses and right alignment.
C. Equations should be referred to as Equation (X) in the text where
is an equation number.
D. In multiple-line equations, the number must be written on the last line.

HARMONI journal citation, citation or reference method is based on the style of the American Psychological Association (APA) version 6. It is recommended to use the Mendeley reference application.
