Abstract

Tourism is a trend in modern human life, including as a means to seek healing. This is because the practice of modern medicine in some communities is still considered to be an expensive treatment so they are looking for other alternatives that are cheaper and affordable.

The number of studies on the tourism sector is still limited to social, economic and cultural aspects. This research explores the perspective of spirituality in the theology of the community, especially the foundation of healing theology seekers.

Using the field research method, it is known that their spirituality soaking in Banyu Panas hopes that getting healing from their illness is believed to be a form of prayer fulfilment, universality and connectedness.

Solutions to the problem of the limitations of cultural tourism development in terms of these aspects of belief need to be developed specifically for therapeutic space or territory and separate from other visitors who are merely recreational in order to create a sense of comfort and privacy of visitors is maintained so that it is expected to increase the level of community visits around tourism objects.
